Parker students
enjoy paniolo visit
Parker Ranch’s Livestock Operations Manager Keoki Wood, Livestock Operations Assistant Dee Dee Bertelmann and Wood’s 14-year-old horse, Chicken, stopped by Parker Lower School Sept. 19 to give students a glimpse into ranching life.
Wood impressed upon the children the importance of a cowboy and a horse being a team and working together. He also taught them about the parts of the saddle and how beef comes from cows. Each child received a workbook, sticker, pencil and balloon from the ranch.
